July 23, 2009 Mommy Discovers MyPoints

Two posts in one day. Remarkable. I know.

I have to admit, I didn't just discover MyPoints. I've been using it since June of 2002 with fairly decent results. MyPoints, for the many of you who probably haven't heard of it, is a paid email site. They have an ever expanding paid for purchases and signups section, but they reward plenty well for just doing the emails. While some emails have no reward for viewing, many of the emails come with a 5 point reward for just clicking or a higher reward for completing the offer described. I only do the clicking and never spend money, but have managed to cash in my points for a $25 gift card once a year since starting. Most years it has been a Barnes and Noble gift card, although last year I got myself a Kohl's one and hit the maternity clearance on Black Friday. You should check out the rewards section. They actually have a decent selection of stores and restaurants to choose from. One issue to note with MyPoints is that they do have expiration dates for their emails. You want to make sure you click the emails at least every couple days or you'll miss points. Believe me, the expiration date is enforced. Otherwise, have fun!

July 23, 2009 Mommy Succumbs to Twitter

It's been forever since I wrote here and I am totally sorry for that fact. I've been working away with a focus on other projects. If you're looking for the link to the website, it's no longer at the bottom of every post. I have moved it over to the bottom of the first side panel, under the header "Other Projects".

Moving on. I finally succumbed to Twitter. Let's be honest, I never thought I would get on Twitter. A year ago, I barely even texted. But, it has been brought to my attention that I can express myself in the Twitter environment the same way I do here (only a little more concise) and maybe increase the traffic to this blog, my site and my new healthy chocolate business. Twitter is a marketing tool as well as a social networking site. Besides, it gives me a break to read updates from people without spending the same amount of time I would reading through blog posts and articles. Looking at it now, I'm really not sure why I fought it so much. Everything has its proper timing, though; so, I'll just believe that I'm finding out the true benefits of Twitter now for some reason I cannot understand at this time.

I have no idea what focus my tweets will take, but for anyone who wants to follow me on Twitter, the address is http://twitter.com/beth_olivier. I'm also going to add this address to my list of projects I mentioned earlier. So here's to my new adventures on Twitter.

July 6, 2009 Mommy Gets Excited About Healthy Chocolate

So I just finished the company conference call and I'm excited. Tonight's blog entry is really only going to benefit those of you who are tired of making pennies online and are ready to really get paid for your work. I told you last week about Xocai healthy chocolate. Well, tonight, the group I'm in got a shout out from the company's founder! Our group is breaking sales and signup records for the company. The company just finished its fourth year and is doing great. So now I'm sitting here writing and eating chocolate and loving it. To help you take the first step, I'm including the compensation plan video below. It's a very generous compensation plan. After watching it, you can click here to learn more about healthy chocolate or signup. I always try hard not to turn my blog into a "make money at my readers' expense" page and I know that I am pushing Xocai a little on the hard side, but I really believe this company can make the difference for so many of you out there. Is it free? No. Is it real money? Yes. And that's the difference. Most of what I'm going to be able to tell you about on this blog is a few cents here and there and hopefully it will add up over time. I know people who are making real incomes from Xocai and they haven't been working on it for years. They just got excited about a wonderful product that is actually helping people and the money followed their excitement. So watch the compensation video and see what you think.
